New York City Police are searching for multiple suspects who allegedly assaulted a man due to ethnicity.
According to police, the suspects assaulted a 58-year-old man inside 1716 Mermaid Avenue, which has a deli on the first floor, in the Coney Island neighborhood of Brooklyn. The suspects allegedly struck the man on the head with a metal pipe while making “anti-ethnic remarks.”
Surveillance video released by the NYPD shows four suspects running along a sidewalk.
Police are asking anyone with information to come forward or submit an anonymous tip.
