Police are searching for suspects captured on video snatching an elderly womans purse in a parking lot in Houston, Texas.
A video released by the Houston Police Department shows two women leaving a red vehicle after parking in a lot on the 10000 block of Beechnut Street at around 3:35 p.m. on March 1. A white Volkswagen sedan stops behind the red car
As the 74-year-old driver of the red car reaches into the backseat for her bag, a male suspect exits the passenger side of the white vehicle and snatches it from her. The victim tries to stop him as he gets back into the white car, and her companion tries to stop the car as it pulls away.
The complainant told police that she had just stopped at a bank before the incident, and she believed the suspects may have followed her.
The suspect is described as a Black male with a thin build, wearing a black hoodie and black pants.
Police are asking anyone with information to come forward or submit an anonymous tip.
