Police in Wisconsin are searching for a suspect who tried unsuccessfully to smash a jewelry stores display case with a brick.
The failed smash-and-grab happened at a Kay Jewelers on Pershing Avenue in Menomonee Falls at about 1 p.m. on June 1.
A surveillance video released by Menomonee Falls Police shows the suspect enter the store and remove a brick from his pocket. He winds up and throws the brick into the glass jewelry case several times, and is unable to break through.
The suspect fled in a tan 2013-2015 Chevrolet Malibu, police said. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward, or submit an anonymous tip.
