New York City police are searching for suspects in connection with a string of robberies in which they use a moped to snatch necklaces from pedestrians.
A video released by the NYPD shows two male suspects riding a moped on a sidewalk in Queens. The suspect riding behind the driver can be seen knocking a victim to the ground as he grabs a necklace.
The victim is dragged behind the moped for several feet, causing the moped to skid out. The passenger continues yanking the necklace and the suspects flee.
According to police, the suspects are wanted for multiple similar robberies between Oct. 24 and Nov. 7. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward or submit an anonymous tip.
