A video shared by the Clovis Police Department shows a police cruiser driving past a downed, burning tree in a still smoldering neighborhood. The department was called in to assist efforts in Mariposa County. Our officers have been patrolling evacuated properties to protect against thieves & checking on residents who remained in their homes, the department tweeted alongside the video. At least 74 structures have been confirmed destroyed so far, according to Cal Fire. On Tuesday night, Highway 140 was reopened through Mariposa County to Yosemite National Park, but fire suppression equipment may remain in the area, fire officials said.
