Police in Florida have released body-camera video of the June 21 arrest of Xichen Yang, who allegedly slit his wife’s throat and played her favorite music as she died. According to police, officers responded to a call for a well-being check at 909 Ballard Street in Altamonte Springs, northeast of Orlando, at around 8:49 a.m. At the scene, officers and Seminole County Fire Department personnel found Nhu Quynh Pham deceased in the apartment. Yang was not in the apartment at the time. The video shows an officer arriving at the apartment complex, where several officers already have their weapons pointed at Yang, who is in a parked red Subaru. Yang was placed in handcuffs and taken into custody without incident. According to investigators, Yang’s employer called to see why he was late for work, and Yang allegedly admitted killing his wife, prompting the employer to contact police. He was charged with first degree premeditated murder and tampering with physical evidence.
