A county official in Florida tried to throw his weight around during two separate traffic stops, telling one trooper, I run the county, according to video of the incident. A dashboard-camera video released by Florida Highway Patrol shows a red Ferrari pass a parked patrol car on northbound Interstate 95 near Palm Coast on June 19. The trooper follows the Ferrari, which abruptly brakes to pull over, nearly causing a collision with the trooper. The trooper can be heard saying he got the driver, Flagler County Commission Chairman Joe Mullins, speeding at 92 mph. That was almost bad, dude, the trooper says. As the trooper explains the speeding ticket, Mullins says, I run the county, so I know how that works. You run the county? the trooper asks. Yeah, I’m the chairman of the county commission, Mullins says. After receiving the citation, Mullins can be seen speeding away. On June 2, troopers stopped Mullins for allegedly speeding in a Mercedes Benz SUV on Interstate 4. When troopers warned Mullins he would be arrested if he exited the vehicle, he allegedly threatened the troopers’ jobs, per reports.
