New York City police are searching for a suspect who allegedly tried to kidnap a 10-year-old boy on the subway.
According to police, the suspect followed a 16-, 15-, and 10-year-old onto the 2 train at 149th Street at about 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23.
When the train reached West 34th Street in Manhattan, police say the suspect grabbed the 10-year-old boys leg and tried pulling him off the train, stating, “this is our stop.” The boys siblings fought the suspect, who fled, according to police.
A surveillance video shared by the NYPD shows the suspect in a dark jacket and dark baseball cap wheeling luggage through the station.
Police are asking anyone with information to come forward or submit an anonymous tip.
